Smart State 2035 – Round Tables

Smart state 2035 event

During the DatA-IL – Smart Nation 2035 event, which explored and presented the future of public services in the era of artificial intelligence, we held three roundtables:

Participants at the tables were mostly from public bodies (government ministries, local authorities, public institutions), with a significant presence of civil society actors as well as academia, research, and technology companies. The document details each table separately, but we wanted to gather topics that we saw often crossing “tables.” Several recurring themes were identified, which are essential for planning and implementing AI technologies in the private sector and optimally using them for public benefit.

DatA-IL one year anniversary

The past year has been particularly challenging, and amid these difficulties, a new community has emerged with a focus on making data and AI tools accessible, driven by a commitment to contribute during crises and promote knowledge.

Following the events of October 7, existing projects and plans were redirected to address urgent needs. The focus shifted to supporting recovery efforts, developing innovative tools, and expanding essential cross-sector collaborations.

Among the primary activities were holding webinars on data visualization, participating in hackathons to advance AI applications, and organizing an annual conference featuring 24 speakers from the public sector, startups, and academia—all aimed at strengthening recovery efforts and preparing for future emergencies.
